Trasformazioni sociali e trasformazioni letterarie: breve viaggio tra alcuni padri nella letteratura per ragazzi

Abstract

The article presents a reflection on the paternal figure, starting from a brief historical excursus and then carrying out an investigation on the same subject in children’s literature, through the analysis of some selected books. The figure of the father has seen social transformations that influenced the literary field, and that can therefore be followed in parallel, by finding some common points. The types of families that are possible today, and therefore of fathers, are very numerous and are found with abundance in children’s literature, from the illustrated books to the novels for young adults. The possible keys to reading from which to start a search are numerous: in the final paragraph, we offer some possible ideas, which can promote further studies and reflections.
