Abstract

Nowadays children grow up in a dynamic and changing world.
Their education occurs within parameters and contexts which would have been unconceivable thirty years ago.
Education is not entrusted only to the school. Family, local community, the media, new technologies, all carry considerable weight in children and young people. The diversity and heterogeneity of households have also to be considered. It is thus necessary to convey the idea that the family, school and local community where children are included share a project involving common educational criteria about the education of children and adolescents; those criteria should also include the concept of resilience, namely the construction of resilient people, who know how to deal with the difficulties and emerge stronger by overcoming them.
Aiming at a quality education a good curriculum and its practical development are important, as well as a good school-family relationship based on mutual understanding and cooperation, that is present in society with its values, with the aim of developing the tools for its pedagogical role
