Soft skills and general education

Abstract

After an analysis of the relation hard skills vs soft skill, the topic of soft skills is deepened in its genesis. The thesis supported here is that soft skills are objectively linked with general popular cultur of which the high formative implication are highlighted, according to the neo-humanistic perspective of liberal education, outlined by Humbold, and brought back in the XX century by the German pedagogist Kerschensteiner and by our Salvemini, whose positions are discussed, at a theoretical level, on the nature of classical studies.

Soft skills e cultura generale.

Dopo averlo analizzato in rapporto alle hard skills, il tema delle soft skills viene approfondito nella sua genesi. La tesi, qui sostenuta, è l’esistenza di un legame oggettivo con la cultura generale. Di essa vengono messe in evidenza le elevate implicazioni di ordine formativo secondo la prospettiva neo-umanistica della liberal education, delineata da Humbold e ripresa nel XX secolo dal pedagogista tedesco Kerschensteiner e dal nostro Salvemini, del quale vengono discusse le posizioni, a livello teorico, sulla natura degli studi classici.
