Abstract
Despite being addressed since 1975, sex education in Italy has not significantly developed, and resistance and misinformation campaigns persist, preventing its inclusion in the school curriculum. This paper examines the opinions of parents and teachers on this topic in pre-school and primary schools, through anonymous online questionnaires. The aim is to understand whether distrust persists or whether a broadening of perspectives is observed. The respondents express a strong interest in sexual and socio-affective education, albeit with different emphases, and a general conviction that it is necessary for the education system to address it.
