Abstract

The following essay refers to family as a complex educational system, from a pedagogical point of view. As a critic and problematic system in which conflicts, discordances and disadvantages may occur, family could be supported from a pedagogical basis by two family-related educational services: “educativa domiciliare” (home education & family services) and “spazio neutro” (neutral space). After a brief description of these services, a research managed in collaboration with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Pangea cooperative (established in the province of Reggio Emilia) will be briefly illustrated, with particular reference to the curriculum of educators, and to the characteristics of the educational work within the family system.
