The urgency to undertake a path of transformation, both educational and formative, towards sustainability is increasingly clear. Starting from a reflection on the educational emergency situation, the paper is divided into four parts: 1) the dimensions that help to understand the concept of transformative resilience; 2) the skills required for the professional development of the educator; 3) the areas of intervention and work practices; 4) the methodologies of formativity and generativity in support of social interaction and active participation. The training of educators is called more than anything else to promote the principles of transformative resilience to learn the future.
