The essay aims to contribute to the reflection on the relational competences of educators and pedagogists engaged in the intervention of support to the parental competences in the negligent family contexts. In particular, we deepen the emotional-affective dynamics that affect parent-child relationship, in its problematic and suffering aspects, but also in the dimensions of recovery and promotion of a new family climate, inspired by trust, and generativity. In this direction, the task of the pedagogical operators consists in the reconstruction of a family story, which cannot be understood according to causal determinism, but which requires systemic attention to multiple conditions that can restore trust to the parental couple and hope, to the children victims of a negative heritage.
