Abstract
Today educational professions require an ever-increasing differentiation and specialization of competences in response to requests from civil society, organizations and the labour world. The recognition of the specificity of educational and pedagogical professions, also provided for by recent legislation, stimulates reflection on the professional competences of educators, among which design competences play a crucial role. This paper, starting from the development of a Repertorio delle Competenze Progettuali dell’Educatore professionale socio-pedagogico, called Re-COPE, intends to provide a proactive and exploratory contribution to the definition of a professional profile in constant transformation.
