Abstract

Today, the Third University Mission includes knowledge and technology transfer, the value enhancement of research results, and the promotion of academic entrepreneurship. Renewed collaborative methods between industrial and academic research define new operational taxonomies and innovative dialogical metrics between players operating in the construction sector. Historically characterised by low innovation, the construction sector opens up opportunities related to the implementation policies of Industry 4.0 and 5.0. Traditional operators are joined, with leadership roles, by companies operating in the digital innovation market to assist the ongoing transition and the decarbonisation path of the built environment.
