Abstract

Healthcare facilities are complex buildings because of their articulation, organization and technology equipment. Designing a hospital needs a multidisciplinary approach in order to organize efficiently the building during the time and the project needs to be able to answer to the rapid changes of the research innovations and demands of the hospital staff, especially in emergency units. In this direction, flexibility becomes the key point for all the changes due to the progress of medical and technological knowledge. The paper analyzes some useful strategies for flexible hospital project on managerial, planning, engineering plants, structural and technological issues through a matrix of analysis studied by the authors of the paper.
