Il disegno dell’acqua nella costruzione di giardini e paesaggi

Abstract

In every ages, hydraulic system characterized garden and landscape design, built around water function, symbols, religious, formal and esthetical valences. Patterns of many historical and contemporary landscapes are often organized in a plot, tightly linked to water systems. Garden was born like an irrigated enclosure in the desert, to become place of soul, reflection or representation land, initiation or didactic way, or public park, always following his feeding water thrickle. The article deals with historical excursus, to analyse evolutions and transformations of water in design of gardens and landscapes, until contemporary age, by taking examples and quotations in projects, landscapings and cultural references.
