Abstract
The territories that from the margins to the city center alternate in a disorganized and fragmented way, inevitably reveal a loss of the democratic, founded on principles of social equality and availability of resources, character on which the urban phenomenon was based. The search for (re) activation devices, interpreted in the same way as urban prototypes to be applied in a systematic way and to reiterate within the urban landscape, aims to indicate a re-strategy, a practice of re-signification and re-composition of the territory based on the creation of socially shared spaces of accumulation. The theme of urban accessibility is interpreted, then, as the key for four actions developed in difficult areas, which allow to define a practice of (re) activation directed towards the creation of new social habitats and new life cycles for declining places.
