Abstract

In Italy cities are frequently inaccessible. It is not easy to move, especially if you are disabled, elderly, children. Inadequate policies and short-sighted bureaucracy complicates the use of services. The economic crisis makes it more and more expensive and widens the gap between rich and poor. Human disqualified relations and lack of solidarity make life poor. The consequence of these conditions leads people to shut in their shells to a sense of insecurity. The meeting between individuals and communities is reduced and is always less. In order to change this picture a contribution can come from a comparison of points of view related to the choices of urban planning, urban design solutions, experiences of those living forms of disability, policies and strategies of virtuous government, but are also required new research perspectives.
