Abstract
Val d’Orcia, as it appears nowadays, is basically the result of the works led by a consortium of drainage that gathered, from the end of the Twenties, the major proprieties of land of that period, and that made this territory an icon of “beautiful agrarian landscape”. Today this landscape, as we are used to know, is kept by the surviving of cereal crops, always more difficult to support because of the EU agricultural policies and, more generally, of a market that penalizes the wheat. On this scenery, the business of renewable energies faces. To trust the individual common sense is no more sufficient. A planning of landscape occurs, that takes care not only of the regulations, but rather the consciousness and education of which lives in the landscape.
