Abstract

Within the Italian legislative framework, the article proposes a structured thinking on rural landscape conservation, based on a specific case study, a valley located in the hills close to the town of Turin. Urban pressure and land abandonment, together with a strong community identity associated with the presence of cherry trees, are the driving factors to propose a conservation project
