Abstract

The Lazio’s system of preservation areas is divided in sixteen Regional Parks, twenty seven Natural Preserves, five Natural Monuments and four Humid Zones. The regional territory is interested by three National Parks and eight National Natural Preserves, too.
Fourteen preservation areas, since 1998, are managed by one corporation, RomaNatura, which is a public law subject, with administrative and financial autonomy. It is composed by City of Rome, Regione Lazio and Provincia of Rome.
The article describes the landscapes’ situations of this preservation areas and the planning and programming experiences that, in this period, are conduced by RomaNatura
