Abstract
The article presents the results of a qualitative research focused on the testimony of 52 young internationally adopted by Italian families, gathered through interviews in 2000 and 2011. Young people from non-European countries, arrived in Italy aged three months to 14 years. At the time of the interviews, they were between 18 and 34 years, with most between 19 and 23 years. They lived with their families, were enrolled in high school, in college, already working or combining work and study. Of these young people, characterized by social and family integration favourable, here, we take into account the point of view of the discontinuity of their life course, the importance of memories of life before the adoption, education received in the family.
